Q:What type of battery does this alarm use?

It is powered by a 9V battery, which is not included. A fresh battery lasts approximately one year under normal conditions.
Q:How loud is the alarm sound?
A:
The alarm produces a loud 85dB pulsating sound at a distance of 3 meters to ensure it can be heard clearly.
Q:How do I test the smoke alarm?
A:
Press and hold the test button on the cover. If working, it will sound the alarm. You can also test it by blowing smoke into it.
Q:What happens when the battery is low?
A:
The alarm will chirp approximately every 50 seconds and the red LED will flash to indicate the battery voltage is below 7.5V.
Q:Can I silence the alarm if it is triggered?
A:
Yes, in alarm status, pressing the test button silences the sound for about 10 minutes. The LED will flash twice every 7 seconds during this time.
