Yes. The system does not affect payload capacity. The fiber spool adds 1.38kg to 4.64kg depending on length.

Q:Is the 1 Mbps rate sufficient for thermal camera video?

For analog thermal cameras (NTSC/PAL), yes. For digital thermal (GigE or HDMI), you would need compression or a different link.

Q:Can I use this for underwater drone deployment?

The modules are not waterproof but can be potted. The fiber itself works underwater if connectors are sealed.

Q:What is the maximum spool weight for a small drone?
