The spool is housed in a protective ABS casing, but sharp impacts may damage internal fiber. Always inspect for bends or cracks before use.
Q:Is the video transmission latency noticeable at 40 km?
A:
No. Optical fiber transmission is near-instantaneous (<1ms latency) regardless of distance, unlike RF systems.
Q:Can I extend beyond 40 km with additional spools?
A:
No. The optical budget is calibrated for exactly 0 - 40km. Adding more fiber will cause signal loss and link failure.
