Low Foam SHMP Raw Material Matching with LABSA SLES Compound

SHMP, sodium hexametaphosphate, is a high-efficiency chelating agent. It can chelate calcium and magnesium ions in water to soften hard water, disperse dirt and prevent re-deposition of stains. It is widely used in liquid detergent, industrial cleaning formulations, and matched with STPP for better washing performance. It features weak alkalinity and fits neutral washing formulas.

They are both phosphate builders but cannot be fully substituted. STPP has strong decontamination and foaming power, mainly for powder detergents; SHMP has stronger dispersion & scale inhibition capacity with low foam, more suitable for liquid formulas. Partial compound use is recommended instead of 1:1 replacement.

Our SHMP is packed in 25KG woven bags with plastic inner liner. It is easy to hydrolyze when exposed to moisture, so it should be stored in a dry, cool and ventilated warehouse, keep sealed after opening, and avoid long-term contact with water to prevent performance decline.
