High Temperature Resistant custom Nylon Plate Plate High Temperature Resistant Cast Nylon for Mining Equipment

MC nylon (Monomer Casting Nylon, PA6G) is produced from caprolactam monomer by anionic polymerization, cast and formed directly in the mold. Compared with extruded or injection-molded ordinary nylon (PA6 / PA66), MC nylon has higher molecular weight, higher crystallinity, better wear resistance and lower internal stress, which makes it especially suitable for large-size, thick-wall parts such as rope pulleys, gears, rods, tubes and sheets.

MC nylon is about 1/7 the weight of steel, self-lubricating (no or less grease needed), low in operating noise, gentle on mating parts such as wire ropes and shafts, corrosion resistant and virtually maintenance-free. In sliding or rolling contact applications, its typical service life is 3-5x that of steel.

The continuous working temperature range is -40 deg C to +120 deg C, with short-term peaks up to +150 deg C. For higher temperature conditions, special modified grades are available - please confirm with our engineers.

Like all polyamides, MC nylon absorbs a small amount of moisture, which slightly increases toughness and reduces brittleness. For precision parts, we supply annealed and conditioned blanks to stabilize dimensions before machining. For tolerance-critical applications, our engineers can discuss solutions with you.
