Stirling-Based Cryogenic Cooler for Vacuum Systems

A Stirling cooler is a refrigeration system that operates based on the Stirling cycle. It uses the temperature difference between an external heat source and a cooling source to induce compression and expansion in a gas (usually helium) to transfer heat and achieve cooling.

A Stirling cooler works through a closed gas cycle (typically helium) where the gas changes temperature during the expansion and compression phases. During the expansion phase, the gas absorbs heat from a high-temperature zone and expands, lowering its temperature. In the compression phase, the gas is compressed, releasing heat. This heat exchange mechanism provides the cooling effect.
