A press fitting is a radial press-type pipe connection system. The fitting body is forged brass, pre-assembled with a stainless steel press sleeve and EPDM sealing O-rings. During installation, a dedicated press tool radially compresses the sleeve onto the pipe, forming a permanent, watertight mechanical seal. No soldering, threading, thread-seal tape, or glue required.

Designed specifically for PEX-AL-PEX multilayer composite pipe; also compatible with PERT-AL-PERT multilayer pipe of the same dimensions. Not compatible with standard PEX pipe (non-aluminum layer), due to differences in outer diameter / wall thickness standards and elastic modulus.

A dedicated press tool (crimping tool) with the corresponding press jaw size is required. Recommended brands: REMS, Rothenberger, Novopress (electric or manual). Standard pliers or wrenches cannot produce a proper press connection-attempting to use them may result in leaks.

To service, the only option is to cut out the connection section and rejoin using a new fitting plus straight coupling. For this reason, it's recommended to include union couplings at key points in the system for future maintenance access
