Q:What are the precautions for ion nitriding?
A:
Clean workpiece should be dried or cooled before loading to save arcing time. Workpiece must be evenly loaded with interval between workpiece and cathode/anode exceeding 30mm to avoid excessive current density and local overheating. Anti-seepage measures required; any hole less than 2mm must be shielded. Sample must be placed in position consistent with workpiece temperature.
