The roof angle should be more than 15 degrees. If below 15 degrees, shingles may arch up. Installation in gales should be avoided, and shingles should be staggered.
Q:What is the warranty period for Sangobuild asphalt shingles?
A:
The warranty is normally 20-30 years, depending on the thickness selected (2.7mm for 20 years, 5.2mm for 30 years).
Q:Does the color of the asphalt shingle fade over time?
A:
No, the color will not fade. We use CARLA natural stone chips from France, which offer excellent weather resistance and protection against extreme UV.
Q:Why are nails needed if the shingles are self-adhesive?
A:
Nails are used to fix the shingle initially. The adhesive viscosity only increases when exposed to sunshine and suitable temperatures, allowing the shingle to stick firmly to the roof later.
Q:Is it necessary to install a waterproof membrane before the shingles?
A:
Yes, a waterproof membrane must be installed. Options include self-adhesive waterproof membranes or polymer PP/PE waterproof membranes.
