UV ink provides strong adhesion for smooth materials like film, PVC, and PET; water based ink works best on absorbent materials like offset and coated paper. A packaging plant switching between PVC labels and coated paper chose UV ink for PVC and water based ink for paper both achieved 5B adhesion rating and passed 100 rub tests without fading.

Q:What if print format compatibility causes extra file conversion time?

The S20 supports direct import of PDF, TIFF, and BMP formats no additional conversion software needed. A label factory used to receive files in both PDF and TIFF from clients and had to convert everything to JPG before processing, taking 20 minutes per order. With the S20, they simply drag the original files into the system and print directly, cutting file preparation time to just 2 minutes per order.
