Worm gear structure provides inherent self locking under static condition. However, it is not absolute anti falling under vibration, shock or dynamic cyclic load. For safety critical applications, external brake or safety nut is strongly recommended.

For translating screw model, the lead screw extends and retracts axially while rotating slowly. For rotating screw model, the screw keeps spinning in situ and the nut moves up down. Rotating screw version is preferred for limited space installation or when screw rotation must be avoided.

Rated capacity is based on static ideal condition. Actual usable load is affected by working duty cycle, lifting speed, stroke length, operating temperature, installation posture and lateral force. Excessive lateral force will sharply reduce service life.

Yes. Multiple units can be linked by mechanical connecting shafts with one driving motor, achieving mechanical synchronous lifting. Electrical synchronization by servo motors is also available, but position deviation compensation needs to be considered.

Service life mainly depends on worm wheel wear and lead screw abrasion. Under 25% duty cycle and within rated load, aluminum bronze worm wheel can achieve long term operation. Frequent full load high speed operation will shorten lifespan significantly.
