Q:What is the biggest disadvantage of pure PTFE? How to solve it?
A:
Pure PTFE has poor anti-creep and compression resistance, easy to deform and leak under long-term heavy load. Glass fiber or bronze filled PTFE can solve this problem.
Q:Can PTFE be used for a long time in oil, acid and alkali, solvent conditions?
A:
Yes. PTFE hardly reacts with any chemical medium. Seals, gaskets and valve sleeves are widely used in chemical pipelines and electroplating equipment.
Q:Can PTFE come into contact with food and drinking water?
A:
Virgin pure PTFE complies with FDA, LFGB and RoHS standards, no harmful substance precipitation, suitable for food molds, gaskets and drinking water pipe fittings.
Q:The friction coefficient of PTFE is very low, do I still need to add lubricant?
A:
It can work without oil under dry friction; a small amount of grease will extend service life under high-speed heavy load.
Q:PTFE has a maximum temperature of 260 degrees centigrade, what happens if it exceeds this temperature?
A:
No decomposition under short-term 300degrees centigrade; continuous temperature above 260degrees centigrade leads to softening and creep; over 350degrees centigrade will release trace fluoride gas, long-term over-temperature use is forbidden.
