Q:What technical preparations do you need from us to start auto bumper mould development?
A:
We require complete 3D product drawings, surface finish standards, target output volume and vehicle assembly tolerance requirements for full design planning.
Q:What steel grade is best for bumper molds P20 or 718?
A:
P20 works fine for short runs under 50K units cheaper and faster to machine. But for volumes above 50K/year, go with 718H. The difference in wear resistance and hardness pays off fast. Don't save a few thousand on steel only to spend more on mold repairs later.
Q:What packaging ways do you adopt for auto bumper moulds to avoid damage during sea transportation?
A:
Large bumper moulds use sealed anti-rust oil coating, moisture-proof film and solid export wooden cases fixed with steel brackets.
