The MDC is a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) duplex connector, about half the size of an LC duplex. In a standard 1U panel, it can deliver up to 2 times the port density of LC, which is critical for AI data centers and high-density patching areas. It also features a push-pull latch design for tool-free insertion and removal in tight spaces, and is fully compatible with VSFF panels, cassettes and breakout modules.

The 16-core cord integrates 16 single-mode fibers into one compact assembly, typically breaking out into 8 duplex MDC connectors (or per your configuration). Each fiber channel is clearly numbered for fast identification, installation and maintenance, ideal for high-density trunk cabling where space and clarity matter.

G657A1 is a bend-insensitive single-mode fiber (OS2 grade) that allows tight bend radii down to 10 mm with negligible signal loss, perfect for cramped trays and 90-degree routing in data centers. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket emits minimal smoke and no toxic halogen gas in a fire, meeting higher fire-safety requirements for indoor and data-center use.

Yes. MDC is an industry-standard VSFF interface; it connects directly into MDC panels, MDC-to-LC cassettes and QSFP-DD / OSFP transceiver breakout assemblies. If you are migrating from LC, MDC-to-LC breakout cassettes provide a seamless upgrade path without replacing your existing LC patch panels. Polarity methods A/B/C can be supplied to match your link design.

Every cord is tested end-to-end: insertion loss and return loss measured with a light source & power meter, end-face inspected with an interferometer and fiber microscope, and polarity verified per your requirement.
