It creates a turbulent flow inside the tube, disrupting the thermal boundary layer. This allows the core fluid to mix better with the fluid near the tube wall, significantly increasing the heat transfer coefficient
Q:Will using a turbulator cause a pressure drop?

Q:How do I install the turbulator?
A:
For spring-type turbulators, they are typically inserted using a steel rod. The rod is pushed through the tube, and the springback effect holds the turbulator firmly against the tube wall.
Q:Can the tubes be cleaned after installing turbulators?
A:
Chemical cleaning is usually recommended. Mechanical brush cleaning is not advised as it can damage the inserts. We recommend removing/replacing the turbulators if mechanical cleaning is required.
