Compared with shallow horizontal anodes, deep well anodes are buried deep underground with larger horizontal separation distances from protected structures and adjacent pipelines, which greatly reduces stray current risks. Proper well location layout and current density design can further avoid over-protection of neighboring facilities.

Yes. Deep anode wells occupy minimal surface space. All cables are centrally led to surface junction boxes. The area above wells can be used for vehicle passage, greening and material stacking without large land occupation.
