Barium Stearate is a white powder made by neutralizing stearic acid with barium compounds. With a melting point of 200 to 225degree ;the highest among common metal stearates . it offers excellent thermal stability. In PVC it works as a heat stabilizer component and external lubricant: it absorbs HCl released during thermal degradation and forms a lubricating film on the metal surface, preventing sticking and discoloration. Widely used across six major fields: (1) Rubber : release agent and vulcanization activator for tires, seals, molded goods (1to 5 phr); (2) PVC : external lubricant and heat stabilizer synergist, improves gloss (0.1 to0.5 phr); (3) Polyolefins : nucleating/clarifying agent in PP and PE for transparent parts (0.1to 0.3%); (4) Powder Coatings :sanding and matting agent;

Rubber (release + activation): 1to 5 phr; PVC external lubricant: 0.1to 0.5 phr (combine with internal lubricant for balance); PP/PE nucleating agent: 0.1to 0.3% by resin weight; Powder coatings: 0.5to 2.0% for sanding/matting; Cosmetics: per formulation (typically 2 to15%). Overdose in PVC may cause plate out or blooming;our technical team can optimize your ratio.
