For safety, fittings must equal or exceed the pipeline's pressure rating. Use SDR13.6 or SDR11 fittings; SDR17 is not suitable for SDR13.6 pipelines.

Q:Can HDPE fittings made by PE100 material weld with pipes in PE80?

Yes, they can be welded together. However, for the best welding results, we recommend welding PE80 pipes with PE80 fittings.

Q:Can HDPE fittings connect to PVC or PPR pipes?

No. Thermal plastic fittings can only connect to pipes of the same material grade. HDPE fittings can only connect to HDPE pipes, not PVC or PPR.

Q:How can we connect HDPE pipes to PVC pipes?

Since they are different materials, they cannot be heat-fused. Use flanged connection with HDPE flange adaptors and backup flanges to connect to PVC flanges.

Q:Is SUNPLAST HDPE fittings UV resistant?

Yes, they are UV resistant and stable. Prolonged UV exposure may cause a waxy surface look, but this does not affect performance and can be scraped off before welding.
