A Mecanum wheel is a specialized wheel with a series of rollers attached at a 45 angle around its circumference. When four Mecanum wheels are mounted on a vehicle and driven independently, the vehicle can move in any direction - forward, backward, sideways, diagonally, or rotate in place - without changing the wheels' steering angle. This omnidirectional mobility is achieved by controlling the speed and direction of each wheel independently.

The rollers are made of high-quality polyurethane (PU). Compared to ordinary rubber rollers, our PU rollers offer 3-5 times longer service life, with superior abrasion resistance, tear strength, and load-bearing capacity. They will not delaminate or crack under normal operating conditions. The exact lifespan depends on load, speed, floor conditions, and operating hours.

Yes. Our Mecanum wheels feature a replaceable roller design. When rollers wear out, you only need to replace individual rollers, not the entire wheel assembly. This significantly reduces maintenance costs and downtime. We supply replacement rollers for all our wheel sizes.
