Carbon fiber composite materials possess remarkable lightweighting properties (reducing weight by 30%-50%), while maintaining high strength and stiffness. They have excellent corrosion resistance and do not require additional surface treatment, making them suitable for high-end fields such as aerospace and automobiles where weight sensitivity is a critical factor. Moreover, they have strong design flexibility, allowing for anisotropic optimization by adjusting the fiber layup.

The key parameters of the filament winding process include tension control, winding angle and resin content. Excessive tension can cause damage to the fibers, while too low tension will affect the density; the winding angle determines the anisotropy of mechanical properties; the resin content affects the final strength and porosity of the composite material. These parameters need to be precisely optimized according to specific applications.

The advantages of the RTM process are that the surface quality of the products is high and the dimensional accuracy is good, making it suitable for the production of complex structural components. The disadvantages are that the mold cost is high and the production cycle is long. It is mainly applied in fields with medium to large batch production and high quality requirements, such as automotive parts and wind turbine blades.
