Magnetic Stripe Card Reader Writer Encoder for Access Control

A manual swipe card reader/writer is a device used to read data from and write data to magnetic stripe cards, such as credit cards, debit cards, or ID cards. It requires a physical swipe of the card through the device to read or write the data.

A manual swipe card reader/writer uses a magnetic head to read the magnetic stripe on the card. When you swipe the card through the device, the magnetic head detects the patterns of magnetism on the stripe and translates it into data. Similarly, when writing data, the device magnetically encodes the stripe with the desired information.

Manual swipe card readers/writers can be used for various purposes, such as point-of-sale transactions, accessing secure areas, time and attendance tracking, loyalty or membership card management, and more. They are often used in situations where a physical card needs to be swiped to initiate a transaction or verify identity.

The device requires +24VDC +/- 5% power supply. It typically consumes 350mA, with a maximum of 600mA plus for each writing track.
