Q:What is the self-test function and how does it work?

The self-test function lets you manually verify the switch and control system without stopping production or emptying the tank. By pulling the external test lever, you simulate a high liquid level to trigger the switch. You can then check if the alarm, pump, or PLC responds correctly. Release the lever, and the switch automatically returns to normal operation.

Q:Can this switch be installed on different tank wall thicknesses?

Yes. The flange/thread connection is designed for standard tank wall thicknesses. If you have special thickness requirements, we can customize the extension length of the stem.

Q:What materials are available for the float and body?

Standard materials are SUS304 (SS304) and SUS316L (SS316L) for the float and body, suitable for most water, oil, and weak corrosive media. We can also offer PP or PVDF versions for strong acid/alkali applications on request.

Q:What kind of output signal does it provide?

It provides SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) dry contact output, with 1 normally open (NO) and 1 normally closed (NC) contact. The contact rating is 5A / 250VAC, compatible with most PLCs, relays, and control systems.

Q:Is this switch explosion-proof?

The standard model is IP65 waterproof. We offer explosion-proof versions (Ex d II CT4~T6) for hazardous areas such as oil tanks and chemical plants. Please specify your requirements when ordering.
