PVC foam core P250 has a nominal density of 250 kg/m3, with industry tolerance controlled within 225-285 kg/m3. Each batch is tested and certified to meet this range. Batch-specific density test reports are available upon request.

PVC foam core P250 is used as a structural core in marine sandwich construction (hulls, decks, bulkheads), wind power components (blades, nacelle covers), railway carriages (floors, sidewalls), new energy equipment (battery enclosures), industrial molds, and fire-resistant partitions. Its high density (250 kg/m3), strong mechanical properties (6.2 MPa compression, 4.5 MPa shear), DNV/CCS certifications, and excellent resin adhesion make it ideal for heavy-load, composite structures.

PVC foam core P250 has a tensile strength of 9.2 MPa and a tensile modulus of 320 MPa, both the highest in the Union PVC foam core series. These high values ensure that PVC foam core P250 maintains excellent core integrity, resists delamination, and transfers loads effectively between face sheets. It is ideal for sandwich panels under repeated bending or vibration, such as wind turbine blades, bridge decks, and rail car floors.

PVC foam core P250 delivers a compressive strength of 6.2 MPa (ASTM D1621).. This performance makes PVC foam core P250 ideal for heavy-load applications such as wind turbine blades, rail car floors, ship decks, and refrigerated truck flooring carrying dense cargo.

PVC foam core P250 delivers a shear strength of 4.5 MPa (ASTM C273). Shear strength is critical because sandwich panels often fail first in shear when subjected to bending or twisting forces. This high value provides excellent resistance to lateral sliding forces, making PVC foam core P250 ideal for dynamic applications like truck floors during cornering or marine hulls.
