When fully closed, two sealing surfaces block medium from both pipeline directions; a dedicated bleed port drains trapped pressure inside the central cavity, realizing double isolation + cavity relief safety function, fully compliant with API 6D oil & gas standards.

Q:What"s the difference between DBB and DIB ball valve?

A: DBB = Double Block & Bleed: Both upstream and downstream seats can block line pressure, with cavity bleed port. DIB = Double Isolation & Bleed: Only one seat can withstand full line pressure, the other works for low-pressure isolation. Oil & gas trunk pipelines, metering skids strictly require DBB design for higher safety redundancy.

Q:Is DBB ball valve full bore or reduced bore?

A: Standard oil & gas DBB ball valves adopt Full Bore as default. The ball through-hole matches pipeline inner diameter, allowing pigging operation with nearly zero flow resistance. Reduced bore DBB valves are only used for small-bore low-pressure chemical auxiliary pipelines, not recommended for long-distance oil/gas transmission.
