Concrete Beam Construction Formwork Cast Iron Wedge Clamp Tensioner Spring Rapid Clamp

This is a key locking component for traditional cup-lock or wedge-type scaffolding systems. It consists of a cast or forged steel wedge and a matching steel pin. The pin is inserted through aligned holes in the scaffold ledger (horizontal tube) and the cup/sleeve of the standard (vertical post). The wedge is then hammered into a slot on the pin, creating an extremely tight, vibration-proof mechanical lock that secures the connection.

It provides a fast, strong, and rigid connection between vertical standards and horizontal ledgers in cuplok scaffolding systems. Unlike screw-based systems, the wedge action creates a taper lock that becomes tighter under load and vibration, ensuring a safe and stable scaffold structure.

We use high-strength, durable materials: Wedge & Pin Body is Malleable Cast Iron (KTH350-10) or Drop-Forged Carbon Steel. Alternative is Ductile Iron (QT450-10). Surface Treatment is Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG) standard, with Electro-galvanizing or paint also available.

The ledger end is placed into the cup of the standard. The pin is inserted through the holes. The wedge (tapered side first) is inserted into the matching slot on the pin. The wedge is firmly tapped with a hammer until tight. The taper forces the pin to expand slightly, locking everything in place. To disassemble, the wedge is struck from the back to loosen it.
