Q:Does the printer need to be cleaned or rinsed with solvent every day?

Unlike CIJ systems, which require continuous solvent flushing to prevent clogging, TIJ systems are "plug-and-play". The only maintenance required is to occasionally wipe the printhead with a lint-free cloth dampened with ethanol (75% or higher) or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) if the print becomes blurred due to dust or prolonged inactivity.

Q:Why do the prints on my production line look blurry or distorted?

This is usually caused by an incorrect print distance (the gap between the print head and the product). For optimum high-contrast results, the gap should be maintained between 2 mm and 5 mm. A distance exceeding 5 mm will result in significant ink splatter and blurred edges.

Q:Can I print on non-porous surfaces such as plastic film or glass?

Yes, but you should choose solvent-based (fast-drying) ink cartridges. Standard water-based inks are only suitable for porous materials such as cardboard or wood. Solvent-based inks are specifically designed to dry on plastics (PE/PET), metal and glass within 2-4 seconds, ensuring that the codes do not smudge during transport.
