Induction Heating Pipe Bending Machine for Large Pipe

Induction bending is ideal for large diameters, heavy wall thicknesses, and short radii where cold bending would cause pipe buckling, excessive wrinkling, or require impossible amounts of mechanical force. It alters the material's yield strength temporarily through localized heat to make bending seamless.

Our heavy-duty models can process pipes from a minimum of 2 inches (60mm) up to 48 inches (1220mm) in diameter, handling wall thicknesses up to 100mm for high-pressure gas lines and structural columns.

It is highly flexible. Unlike cold benders restricted by fixed die radii, induction benders can achieve large, continuous radii ranging from 1.5D (1.5 times the pipe diameter) up to 20D, 30D, or even straight-line variable curvatures.

Wonsten machines use dual-color infrared pyrometers pointed directly at the heating seam. This sensor feeds real-time data back to the IGBT power supply's PLC loop, dynamically increasing or decreasing current to keep the temperature perfectly stable.

We integrate a dual-zone cooling ring right behind the induction coil. Depending on the material grade (e.g., carbon steel vs. alloy steel), it uses forced water quenching, compressed air blasting, or ambient natural air cooling to achieve the desired microstructural properties.
