Q:What is the difference between DMC and SMC insulating block?
A:
DMC (also known as BMC) is a bulk molding compound with good fluidity, suitable for complex irregular structures such as card slots and steps, and has a high cost performance ratio; SMC is a sheet molding compound with higher mechanical strength, which is more suitable for simple large blocks and high load-bearing cutting parts. The mainstream choice for dry-type transformers with card slot pads is DMC material.
Q:What is temperature resistance and voltage withstand of DMC insulating block?
A:
DMC standard heat resistance level B; The voltage resistance performance depends on the thickness of the product and is generally suitable for the working conditions of 10-35KV dry-type transformers.
Q:Can you make custom molded DMC blocks with slots or special shapes?
A:
Yes. DMC material has excellent fluidity, ideal for slotted, stepped and non standard special shaped insulating blocks, custom molded per customer drawings.
Q:Will DMC insulating block crack?
A:
Qualified DMC molded parts have compact interior and will not crack under normal condition. Over pressure, over-temperature and heavy knocking during installation should be avoided.
