These hinges are made as a left and right pair with linked steel arms that fold through a set range of angles.
The round centre piece houses a ratchet that clicks and holds the mechanism at several different positions.
A heavy coil spring stretched between the arms supplies tension that supports the movement of the joint.
Pre-drilled holes along the straight mounting rail and at the ends of the arms provide fixing points to the frames.
The bright zinc-plated finish gives the steel parts corrosion resistance for use inside upholstered furniture.
