This adjustable bed mechanism is built as a black rectangular frame of welded steel tubing with several crossbars that add stiffness to the whole structure.
Four flat metal straps run lengthwise across the crossbars and form a grid-like supporting surface for the mattress platform.
A silver extruded aluminum rail with a T-slot profile is mounted lengthwise through the middle of the frame and carries a sliding block.
A cylindrical electric motor joined to a gearbox sits at one end of the rail and drives the slider along the track to tilt the linked frame sections.
Pivot brackets and angled arms inside the frame connect the sections to the drive, and the power cord leaving the motor feeds the unit once installed.
