The set includes two matching mechanisms so both sides of a headrest or armrest can be fitted as a pair.
Each mechanism is assembled from several layers of galvanized stamped steel that are joined with round rivets around a central pivot.
A dark plastic cap covers the end of the pivot and a small screw in its center secures the joint.
An L-shaped chrome plated rod swings from the pivot and ends with a large washer and a hex nut on its threaded portion.
One mounting plate carries four elongated slots so the height of the unit can be set before the bolts are tightened.
