This is a matching pair of adjustable hinges built for moving sections of upholstered furniture. Each unit links a mounting plate to a support rod through a ratchet joint.
The mounting plate has four elongated slots so the hinge can be positioned on a wooden frame. Screws in the slots allow small shifts while the hardware is being aligned.
The rod is bent at a right angle and ends in a long threaded section with a washer and nut. This lower end is designed to pass through the furniture frame and be locked with the nut.
The central joint clicks through a set of fixed angles so the attached headrest or armrest holds its chosen position. Moving the part fully forward releases the ratchet so it can return.
Steel construction with zinc plated plates and bright chrome rods gives a durable hardware set. The left and right units are mirror images to match both sides of the furniture.
