This component is a heavy pivot hinge machined from polished silver steel with a compact wheel fitted near the top.
The top mount and the side wheel form the fixed part of the hinge that attaches to the frame.
A cylindrical arm extends downward in an L-shaped route to carry the moving leaf of the door.
The lower end of the arm finishes with a flanged ring, a short spiral grooved segment, and a final cylinder.
The layered collar and spiral section show that the arm rotates and slides inside a matching socket during opening.
