PN is the pressure rating in European standards (e.g., DIN, GB), measured in bar (e.g., PN16 = 1.6 MPa). Class is the American standard rating (ANSI/ASME), like Class 150. They differ due to reference temperatures and material strength curves.

SS304 is a general-purpose stainless steel for water, oil, gas, and non-corrosive media. SS316, with Molybdenum (Mo), offers superior resistance to chloride corrosion and pitting, ideal for marine, chemical, or corrosive environments.

A Swing Check Valve has a disc swinging on a hinge for lower flow resistance, suitable for large-diameter pipelines. A Lift Check Valve disc moves vertically for better sealing but higher flow resistance, used in small-diameter pipes.

Ball valves are for full-on/off service. In half-open, high-velocity flow strikes the ball and seats, causing erosion or 'wire drawing,' reducing lifespan. Use globe or control valves for throttling.
