PN is for European standards (e.g., DIN, GB) measured in bar (e.g., PN16 = 1.6 MPa). Class is for American standards (ANSI/ASME), like Class 150. They differ in reference temperatures and material strength curves, so cannot be simply converted.

SS304 is versatile, ideal for water, oil, gas, and non-corrosive media. SS316, with Molybdenum (Mo), offers superior resistance to chloride corrosion and pitting, perfect for marine, chemical, or highly corrosive environments.

In a Swing Check Valve, the disc swings on a hinge, reducing flow resistance; ideal for large pipes. A Lift Check Valve disc moves vertically, offering better sealing but more resistance, suited for small pipes.

Ball valves are for full-on/off service. Half-open positions expose parts to high-velocity flow, causing seat erosion or 'wire drawing' on the ball, reducing lifespan. For throttling, use globe or control valves.
