No. The meter is rated U0/D0 for flow-field sensitivity, which means it can be installed close to bends, tees, valves and elbows without accuracy loss. This saves fittings and installation space compared with mechanical meters, which normally require several pipe diameters of straight run.

Standard sizes are DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40 and DN50 (R400 to R1000, Class 2). For residential and small commercial lines, DN15 to DN25 covers most cases; DN32 to DN50 suits larger sub-mains. Tell us your typical and peak flow and we will confirm the size.

The valve-controlled version has a motorized stainless ball valve in the meter body, so supply can be opened or closed remotely from the platform. It comes in DN15 to DN25. The standard version has no valve and covers DN15 to DN50. Both share the same metering core, accuracy and communication.

Wireless options are 4G, NB-IoT, LoRa(LoRaWAN), Wi-SUN, RF and WiFi, with one module pre-installed at the factory. Local Bluetooth or infrared is used for on-site configuration. Choose the module that matches your local network and platform before ordering.
