The FDZ Combined Vibration Damper features a combined/multi-mass hammer head design that provides multi-frequency vibration damping, whereas the standard FD-type damper typically targets a single frequency band. This multi-frequency capability allows the FDZ damper to effectively absorb and dissipate vibration energy across a broader range of aeolian vibration frequencies, offering superior protection for conductors, especially on long-span or high-tension transmission lines.

The damper should be installed at the position specified in the design drawings or construction standards, typically at a certain distance from the suspension clamp or tension clamp. The clamp must be firmly tightened to prevent sliding along the conductor. A torque wrench should be used to ensure the bolts are tightened to the specified torque value. The hammer heads should be oriented perpendicular to the conductor direction.
