A spray dryer atomizes liquid feed into tiny droplets via nozzles or rotary atomizers. Hot drying air fully contacts droplets inside the drying chamber to evaporate moisture instantly, then dry powder is separated from exhaust air through cyclones or bag filters in one continuous step.

All pumpable liquid, slurry and extract feeds are applicable, including food raw materials (milk, coffee, fruit flavors), pharmaceutical herbal extracts, enzymes, ceramic slurry, food additives and industrial water-soluble chemicals. Heat-sensitive substances are its biggest application advantage.

A matching cyclone separator+bag filter recovery system achieves a total powder recovery rate of 95%-99%. Cyclones capture most coarse powder, while bag filters intercept ultrafine fine powder to minimize product loss and waste.
