What power supply is required?

The instrument accepts wide voltage DC 5 to 30V. Typical consumption is very low because the system sleeps between measurements (active only 200ms per second). It can run on batteries or solar systems.

Q:What is the working principle of this Clouds float water level gauge?

A float follows the water surface. A counterweight keeps the suspension cable tight on a V shaped pulley. When water level changes, the pulley rotates a shaft encoder which outputs a digital Gray code corresponding to the exact water level.

Q:How does the anti surge feature work?

The patented design prevents the suspension cable from slipping on the measuring wheel even when waves cause rapid up/down float movement. This ensures measurement stability and avoids false readings.

Q:What is the maximum measuring range?

Depending on the length of suspension cable, the gauge can measure water level changes from 10 to 40 meters. The encoder outputs 1024 to 4096 unique codes over full range.

Q:Does the instrument lose data when power is cut?

No. The absolute encoder retains the exact position even after complete power loss. When power returns, the display and output show the correct current water level without needing re zeroing.

Q:Can this float level meter be used in a narrow well?

Yes, it is specially designed for wells with inner diameter great than or equal to 25 cm (about 10 inches). The compact float and counterweight assembly fits easily in standard stilling wells.
