1600 1601 Flat Top Conveyor Chain & Modular Belt Plastic Belting Combs

Our ZE1601 belt is manufactured using high-quality POM (Polyoxymethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) plastics. While POM offers higher strength and wear resistance, PP is lightweight and versatile. The cleanable flat-top design is widely used in food and beverage processing. The standard available widths are 85mm and 170mm. For combined assemblies, the total width follows the formula W = 85 * N (where N is an integer). Crucially, due to our manufacturing process, the actual net width of the belt will be 0.1% to 0.3% smaller than the theoretical width due to material shrinkage. We highly recommend contacting our engineers with your exact conveyor rail measurements before finalizing your order.

We advise against using non-standard widths for the ZE1601 series. As noted in our technical specifications, non-standard widths are heavily restricted by the sprocket position and tooth engagement. Custom widths could lead to chain misalignment or jamming. For specific custom projects, we must design and confirm unique sprockets for you, so please reach out to our technical support team first.

The 20mm minimum back-flex radius is a key performance metric for this belt. It defines how tightly the belt can travel around an idler sprocket or return track in a reverse curve. This small radius means you can design very compact conveyor systems that save floor space, even in facilities with limited headroom. However, always ensure your return track guides are set according to this radius to prevent belt fatigue.

To maximize the lifespan of your ZE1601, we recommend periodic visual inspections every 1-2 months: Check the pin connections (4.6mm diameter) for any sign of bending or wear. Remove debris stuck in the hinge area using non-aggressive cleaning solutions. Ensure sprockets are perfectly aligned. The pin material (PP/PBT) is durable, but replacing a pin set (which is inexpensive) proactively is far better than waiting for a total belt breakdown during peak production.
