A: It can dry sawdust from 30 to 40% inlet moisture down to 8 to12%, perfect for wood pellet production.

Q:What materials can an airflow dryer process?

It is suitable for powdery, granular and fibrous materials that can be suspended and conveyed by hot airflow, such as sawdust, rice husk, straw powder, starch, wheat bran and other biomass or food powder. It can only remove surface free moisture, not bound moisture. Sticky, large lump materials are not recommended.

Q:What is the difference between airflow dryer and rotary dryer?

Airflow dryer features ultra-short drying time, compact footprint, lower investment cost, good for fine powder/biomass. It can only remove surface moisture. Rotary dryer has longer residence time, large capacity, can handle lumpy materials and high initial moisture, but larger floor space and higher energy consumption.

Q:How does raw material moisture affect the dryer throughput?

Airflow dryer can only remove surface free water. Higher inlet moisture means more heat consumption per ton of material, so the maximum throughput will drop. Example: If raw material moisture rises from 30% to 40%, the capacity may decrease by 30~40%. You need to reduce feeding rate accordingly, or increase heat supply to keep stable production.
