Anti back staining agent manufacturers

Anti Back Staining Agents are primarily used during the desizing and stone-washing processes of denim garments. Their core function is to prevent dispersed indigo dyes from re-depositing onto the white filling yarn or the pocket lining, ensuring a high-contrast look. They are essential for achieving a clean, bright aesthetic in distressed denim, vintage washes, and enzyme-treated fabrics.

Buyers should evaluate the chemical composition, typically looking for polyester-based polymers or specialized surfactants. Key performance indicators include pH stability (usually effective in the 5.0-7.0 range), temperature resilience (ensuring effectiveness at 30°C to 60°C), and compatibility with cellulase enzymes. High-quality agents must be non-foaming or low-foaming to prevent mechanical interference during industrial washing.

To ensure market access and brand safety, the product must comply with ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) levels and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. For European markets, REACH registration is mandatory. Buyers should request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Technical Data Sheet (TDS) to verify the absence of restricted substances like APEOs or formaldehyde.

Economic feasibility is determined by the concentration and dosage ratio. A high-concentration powder may have a higher unit price but requires a lower dosage (e.g., 0.1% - 0.5% by weight of fabric), reducing overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Buyers should request lab-scale wash tests to compare the 'whiteness index' of pocket linings against the cost per wash cycle.

The main risks include customs clearance delays due to improper chemical labeling and product degradation during transit. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Because these are chemicals, they must be packed in UN-approved high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drums or moisture-proof bags to prevent leakage and environmental contamination during sea freight.

Focus negotiations on quality consistency and lead times. Request a Gold Member supplier status check and prioritize those with ISO 9001 certification. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the price drops as annual volume increases. It is also wise to secure a fixed-price agreement for 6-12 months to hedge against fluctuations in raw material costs (like polyester resins).

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment. For first-time bulk orders, mandate a third-party pre-shipment inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) to verify that the chemical properties match the approved samples. Always use Letter of Credit (L/C) or Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) with a deposit/balance split to mitigate financial risk.

Verify if the product is classified as 'Dangerous Goods' (DG) or 'Non-Hazardous Chemicals'. Non-hazardous classification significantly reduces shipping costs. Ensure the supplier provides a Certification for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. For shipping to regions like the US or EU, ensure the HS Code (typically Chapter 38 for finishing agents) is accurately declared to avoid heavy fines or seizure by customs.
