Baby tooth brush manufacturers

B2B buyers must prioritize Food-Grade Silicone (BPA-free) or Medical-Grade TPE for the brush body and handle. For bristles, Ultra-soft PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) or Nylon 612 with a diameter of 0.07mm to 0.12mm is recommended to protect delicate gums. Ensure all materials are non-toxic, phthalate-free, and lead-free to meet global safety standards.

Products must strictly adhere to FDA (21 CFR) for the US market and EN 71-1/2/3 or REACH for the EU. Specifically, for children's products, CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) certification is mandatory in the US. Ensure the supplier provides ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) or ISO 9001 quality management certifications to guarantee production consistency.

For infants (0-6 months), Finger Toothbrushes are ideal for gum massage. For toddlers (6-24 months), look for Choke Prevention Shields (wide guards) to prevent deep insertion. For older children (2-5 years), Ergonomic Non-slip Handles and Suction Cup Bases are preferred. U-shaped 360° brushes are currently a high-demand category for their ease of use in training stages.

Request Tuft Retention Tests to ensure bristles do not fall out and pose a choking hazard. Verify if the product is Boil-Safe or Steam-Sterilizer Compatible (heat resistance up to 120°C). For electric versions, an IPX7 waterproof rating is the industry standard for safe cleaning under running water.

The biggest risk is Chemical Non-compliance (e.g., excessive lead or plasticizers) which can lead to customs seizures or heavy fines. Always request Third-Party Lab Reports (SGS, Intertek, or TUV) from the current production batch, not just an old certificate. Another risk is Choking Hazards due to poor bristle tufting; ensure the supplier performs Pull-Force Testing.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for baby products, a 15-20% discount is often achievable when moving from 1,000 to 5,000 units. Negotiate for OEM/Private Labeling costs to be included in the unit price for large orders. Ask for 'Golden Samples' to be sealed and kept as a reference for Quality Control (QC) during mass production.

Utilize Secured Payment Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. For large-scale procurement, insist on a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by an independent agency to verify that the goods match the approved samples before the final balance is paid.

Since baby toothbrushes are lightweight but high-volume, LCL (Less than Container Load) Sea Freight is the most cost-effective for bulk orders. However, for high-value electric baby brushes, Air Freight may be preferred to reduce lead times. Ensure the supplier provides Customs-Compliant HTS Codes (typically 9603.21) to avoid tariff misclassification.
