Baked blush manufacturers

Baked Blush is unique because it starts as a liquid cream that is slowly baked on terracotta tiles for 24 hours. This process results in a domed shape, a velvety texture, and a formula that can be used both wet and dry. High-quality versions should feature micronized pigments for seamless blending and a shimmer-to-matte ratio that provides a natural glow without looking chalky.

Cosmetics are highly regulated. For the US market, products must comply with FDA regulations regarding color additives and labeling. For the EU market, a Product Information File (PIF) and registration on the CPNP portal are required. Globally, you should prioritize suppliers with GMPC (Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics) and ISO 22716 certifications to ensure hygiene and safety standards.

Request a full Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Ensure the formula is paraben-free and lead-free. For 'clean beauty' brands, verify Cruelty-Free or Vegan certifications. It is critical to test for heavy metal content and microbial limits to prevent skin irritation or infections.

Because baked powders are more fragile and brittle than pressed ones, they are prone to shattering. Ensure the primary compact has a secure snap-lock and consider adding a protective foam insert inside the compact. For shipping, use double-walled corrugated boxes and bubble wrap cushioning to maintain a 'zero-breakage' rate during long-distance logistics.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) where a third party checks the drop-test performance of the packaging. Use Incoterms like CIF or CIP to ensure the cargo is insured. On Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers who have experience in fragile cosmetic exports and can provide specialized shock-absorbent palletization.

Baked Blush has a higher production cost due to the baking time. If you cannot meet the MOQ for custom formulas (usually 3,000-5,000 units), negotiate for private labeling on existing 'open-mold' formulas with a lower MOQ of 500-1,000 units. Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to finalize the shade match and shimmer intensity before transferring the deposit.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Utilize Escrow-style services where the payment is only released to the supplier after you confirm the Bill of Lading (B/L) or inspection report, ensuring the supplier adheres to the agreed quality standards.

Labeling errors are a leading cause of customs seizures. Ensure the packaging includes the Country of Origin, a full INCI ingredient list, the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol, and the net weight in both metric and imperial units. If selling in the EU, the name and address of the Responsible Person (RP) must be clearly printed on the label.
