Body shampoo factory manufacturers

When sourcing from a body shampoo factory, you must evaluate the chemical formulation stability, pH balance (ideally 5.5 to 6.5), and the viscosity of the liquid. Ensure the factory uses high-quality surfactants like Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) or sulfate-free alternatives for sensitive skin lines. Additionally, verify the preservative system used to ensure a shelf life of at least 24 to 36 months.

Suppliers must adhere to GMPC (Good Manufacturing Practice Cosmetics) and ISO 22716:2007 standards. For specific markets, ensure compliance with EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 or US FDA VCRP registration. If you are targeting eco-conscious consumers, look for factories with COSMOS or ECOCERT certifications.

Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). It is critical to conduct Microbiological Testing (to check for aerobic bacteria, yeast, and mold) and Heavy Metal Testing (Lead, Arsenic, Mercury). For new formulations, ask the factory for Stability Testing reports under high temperature and humidity conditions.

A top-tier factory should provide custom fragrance development, active ingredient integration (such as Niacinamide or Hyaluronic Acid), and packaging design services. Ensure they can handle various packaging formats, from PET/HDPE bottles with pump dispensers to eco-friendly refill pouches, and offer private labeling with high-quality silk-screen or UV printing.

The primary risks include leakage during transit due to poor sealing and customs seizure if the product contains prohibited ingredients or lacks proper labeling. To mitigate this, ensure the factory uses induction sealing for bottles and provides a full ingredient list (INCI) that matches the destination country's permitted substance list.

Body shampoo is a volume-driven commodity. Negotiate based on Total Volume per Annum rather than a single order to lower the unit price. Typical MOQs for custom formulations are 3,000 to 5,000 units. If you are a startup, look for factories on Made-in-China.com that offer 'Ready-to-Ship' white-label products with lower MOQs of 500 units.

Liquid products are classified as 'Sensitive Goods' in international shipping. You must provide the MSDS and a Non-Hazardous Cargo Declaration to the freight forwarder. For sea freight, use palletized shipping to prevent carton crushing, and ensure the containers are kept away from heat sources to prevent formula separation or spoilage.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until the goods are shipped. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify quantity, packaging integrity, and scent consistency.
