Cat 320 excavator manufacturers

When sourcing a Cat 320, you must prioritize the engine performance and hydraulic efficiency. Ensure the unit features the Cat C4.4 or C7.1 engine (depending on the series) that meets local emission standards like Tier 4 Final or Stage V. Verify the operating weight (approx. 22,500 kg) and bucket capacity (1.0 - 1.19 m³) to ensure it matches your project requirements. Additionally, check for the integration of Cat Grade with 2D/3D technology, which can improve grading efficiency by up to 45%.

For B2B buyers looking at used inventory, it is critical to request the Product Identification Number (PIN) and verify the service history through the VisionLink® system. Inspect the undercarriage for wear percentages (anything above 75% wear requires immediate replacement) and check the hydraulic pumps for leaks or unusual noise. Always ask for a S·O·S℠ (Scheduled Oil Sampling) report to detect internal engine or component wear before finalizing the purchase.

Compliance varies by destination. For the US market, EPA Tier 4 compliance is mandatory, while the EU requires CE Marking and adherence to Stage V emission regulations. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin and a Declaration of Conformity. If purchasing from Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers who can provide third-party inspection reports from agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland to guarantee the machine meets international safety standards.

The biggest risks include equipment mismatch and hidden mechanical defects. To mitigate this, use Escrow payment services or Trade Assurance to ensure funds are only released upon successful third-party pre-shipment inspection. Avoid wire transfers to private accounts; always use verified corporate accounts listed on professional platforms like Made-in-China.com.

For heavy machinery, Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping is generally the safest and most cost-effective method as it minimizes handling. If the machine is dismantled, Flat Rack containers or 40HC containers can be used, but you must account for the re-assembly costs and technical expertise required at the destination port.

Negotiate for a spare parts package (filters, seals, and wear parts) to be included in the initial purchase price, as local sourcing can be expensive. Ensure the contract specifies a warranty period (typically 6-12 months or 2,000 hours) and clarify if the supplier provides remote technical support or video diagnostics to assist your local mechanics.
