China dressing gown manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize fabric weight (GSM) and fiber composition. For luxury hotel-grade gowns, look for 100% combed cotton or bamboo fiber with a weight of 400-500 GSM for maximum absorbency. For retail fashion, silk, satin (polyester), or flannel fleece are popular. Ensure the supplier provides OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to guarantee the absence of harmful substances, especially for products with direct skin contact.

Focus on seam reinforcement and stitching density. High-quality dressing gowns should feature double-stitched hems and reinforced pocket attachments to prevent tearing. Request information on colorfastness to washing (Grade 4 or higher) and shrinkage rates, which should not exceed 3-5% for cotton terry products. For silk or satin, check for french seams to prevent fraying.

Compliance varies by destination. For the US market, products must comply with 16 CFR Part 1610 (Standard for the Flammability of Clothing Textiles). For the EU market, adherence to REACH regulations regarding azo dyes and chemicals is mandatory. Always verify that the care labels are accurate and translated into the destination language, including fiber content and country of origin.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. Customization options include embroidery (logo placement on chest or back), custom woven labels, and bespoke packaging. For high-end brands, consider jacquard weaving where the logo is integrated into the fabric texture rather than printed or embroidered.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before authorizing mass production. Furthermore, hire a third-party inspection service (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) or a Final Random Inspection (FRI). Ensure the sales contract specifies that final payment is contingent upon a successful inspection report.

Negotiate based on volume tiers and material costs. Instead of just asking for a lower price, ask for the breakdown of fabric cost vs. labor cost. You can often achieve a 5-10% discount by increasing the order quantity to meet the supplier's fabric dyeing MOQ. Additionally, establishing a long-term partnership or offering a larger deposit can improve your leverage.

For large volumes of dressing gowns (which are bulky), Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical choice. Use vacuum packaging to reduce the volume of the cartons, which can lower shipping costs by up to 30%. Ensure you agree on clear Incoterms 2020 (e.g., FOB or CIF) to define exactly when the risk and cost transfer from the seller to the buyer.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid using high-risk payment methods for initial orders. Using a Letter of Credit (L/C) for large transactions or Escrow-based payment systems ensures that the supplier only receives funds once proof of shipment or inspection clearance is provided.
