I have found results from400+products and200+suppliers aboutCj750 motorcycle
The CJ750 is a classic sidecar motorcycle modeled after the vintage BMW R71. Buyers must focus on the engine type (24HP or 32HP OHV engines), the electrical system (upgraded 12V systems are preferred over original 6V for reliability), and the transmission (ensure it includes a reverse gear). For export, verify that the frame and engine numbers are clearly stamped and match the documentation to facilitate customs clearance.
When purchasing restored units, prioritize suppliers who provide detailed restoration logs. Check for new wiring harnesses, upgraded carburetors (such as PZ28), and reinforced sidecar linkages. It is essential to request a video of a cold start and a test drive to verify engine compression and smooth gear shifting. Ensure the paint finish uses high-quality automotive grade lacquer to prevent premature rusting.
Compliance varies significantly by country. For the US market, vintage motorcycles may fall under EPA and DOT exemptions if they are over 25 years old, but you must verify the original year of manufacture. For the EU, check for e-Mark certifications on lights and mirrors. Always confirm that the supplier can provide a Certificate of Origin and a clean Bill of Sale to prove the vehicle's history.
The CJ750 is primarily sourced for tourism and rental fleets, film and media production props, and specialty dealership showrooms. Its rugged design also makes it a popular choice for experiential marketing campaigns and outdoor adventure tours. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com often offer customization for these specific commercial needs.
The biggest risk is customs seizure due to non-compliance with emission or safety standards. To mitigate this, ensure the motorcycle is classified correctly as a 'vintage vehicle' or 'parts' depending on your local laws. Another risk is shipping damage; ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty wooden crates with internal steel frames to secure the bike and sidecar separately or as a fixed unit.
Focus on spare parts packages rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a percentage of wear-and-tear parts (gaskets, cables, spark plugs) to be included at no extra cost. For orders exceeding 5 units, aim for a 10-15% discount and request custom branding or color schemes as part of the package. Use Made-in-China.com's secured trading services to protect your deposit.
Due to the dimensions of the sidecar, LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping in a specialized crate is the most common method. However, for 4 or more units, a 20ft FCL (Full Container Load) is more economical and reduces the risk of handling damage. Ensure the fuel tank is completely drained and the battery is disconnected to comply with international Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping regulations.
Look for 'Audited Suppliers' on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site inspections. Check their export history to see if they have experience shipping to your specific region. Request third-party inspection reports (such as SGS or TÜV) before the final balance payment is made to ensure the product matches the agreed-upon specifications.
