Display stand for glass manufacturers

When sourcing display stands for glass, the structural integrity is paramount. You should prioritize tempered glass shelves (minimum 5mm-8mm thickness) to prevent shattering. The frame should ideally be made of high-grade aluminum alloy or powder-coated steel to support the weight of glass products. For high-end retail, ensure the use of non-slip silicone gaskets at contact points to prevent glass-on-metal friction, which can cause cracking.

Effective glass displays require specific lighting to highlight transparency and craftsmanship. Look for stands integrated with LED spotlights or strip lights with a High Color Rendering Index (CRI >90). Ensure the wiring is concealed within the frame for a professional look and that the power supply meets CE or UL certification standards for electrical safety in commercial environments.

For heavy glass items, verify the load-bearing capacity per shelf, which should typically be at least 15-20kg for standard retail and higher for industrial glass. Request information on leveling feet to ensure stability on uneven floors, and check if the stand offers modular height adjustment to accommodate different glass vessel sizes.

Ensure the supplier complies with ISO 9001 for quality management. For the glass components, look for EN 12150-1 (EU) or ANSI Z97.1 (US) certifications which govern thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass. If the stand includes wooden elements, verify E1 or E0 formaldehyde emission standards to meet environmental regulations.

Glass display stands are high-risk items for transit damage. You must insist on Five-Layer Corrugated Cardboard packaging with EPE foam edge protectors and honeycomb board buffers. For bulk shipments, require wooden crate reinforcement (fumigated). It is highly recommended to use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure the goods are inspected before final payment.

When negotiating, focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing based on MOQ (e.g., 50, 100, 500 units). Request a detailed breakdown of material grades to ensure you aren't being quoted for low-quality iron when you requested aluminum. Always confirm the lead time for customization, as bespoke glass stands usually take 25-35 days to produce.

Never transfer funds to private bank accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Utilize Third-Party Inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). This ensures the dimensions, glass thickness, and finish quality match your specifications before the container is sealed.

Due to the volume-to-weight ratio, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical method. Ensure your supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (typically 9403 for furniture/stands) to avoid customs delays. Clarify Incoterms clearly; FOB (Free On Board) is generally preferred for buyers who have their own freight forwarders to control costs.
