Double glass door lock manufacturers

When sourcing double glass door locks, the most critical factor is glass thickness compatibility, typically ranging from 8mm to 12mm. You must ensure the lock uses SUS 304 stainless steel for the housing to prevent corrosion. For the internal mechanism, prioritize solid brass cylinders over zinc alloy to ensure a longer lifecycle, ideally rated for over 200,000 cycles. Additionally, verify if the lock requires drilling (hole-cut) or is a non-drilling (clip-on) type, as this significantly impacts installation labor costs.

For B2B buyers, compliance is non-negotiable. Ensure the products meet EN 12209 (European standard for locks) or ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 or 3 for North American markets. If the locks are intended for fire-rated glass partitions, they must have a Fire Resistance Certification. Furthermore, request Salt Spray Test reports (minimum 48-72 hours) to guarantee the finish will not peel or rust in humid environments.

For double doors, the lock must feature a double-bolt or 'swing bolt' mechanism to prevent the doors from being pried apart. If you are sourcing electronic versions, look for AES-128 bit encryption for smart locks and a mechanical override key for emergencies. For traditional mechanical locks, a computer-keyway design is preferred over standard flat keys to increase pick resistance.

In commercial office settings, 'Key-to-Thumbturn' models are preferred for safety, allowing easy exit without a key. For retail storefronts, 'Double-Keyed' cylinders provide higher security. If the project involves frameless glass patches, ensure the supplier provides matching strike plates or glass-to-glass connectors to ensure a seamless aesthetic and functional fit.

Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) focusing on the surface finish (checking for scratches or burrs) and functional testing of every 10th unit in a batch. Use platforms like Made-in-China.com to identify Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party verification of their manufacturing capabilities. Requesting a production sample before the bulk run is mandatory to align on the exact 'Satin' or 'Mirror' finish levels.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for door hardware, a 500-unit order should typically yield a 10-15% discount compared to the sample price. Negotiate for OEM branding (laser-etched logos) to be included in the unit price for orders exceeding 1,000 pieces. Also, push for a 2-year quality warranty, which is the industry standard for premium architectural hardware.

Glass locks are dense and heavy; ensure the supplier uses reinforced 5-layer corrugated export cartons with individual inner boxes to prevent metal-on-metal friction during transit. For sea freight, request palletization with plastic wrap to protect against moisture and 'container sweat' which can cause oxidation on stainless steel surfaces.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Stay updated on Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD); some regions impose higher tariffs on Chinese steel products, so verify the HS Code (typically 8301.40) with your local customs broker to calculate the Total Landed Cost accurately.
